According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics are optimistic that Gordon Hayward will be cleared for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat.
In the regular season Hayward averaged over 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assist per game, shooting 50% from the field, 38% from beyond the arc and 85% from the foul line.
Barring a setback in pregame warmups, there’s significant optimism within the Celtics that forward Gordon Hayward (right ankle sprain) will be active to play in Game 3 vs. Miami tonight, sources tell ESPN. After missing a month, Hayward offers a sizable boost for Boston’s bench.
