Hazan Sports Management, the agency representing Bruno Caboclo, sent to Sportando a statement on the situation between the Brazilian player-just announced by Partizan– and Reyer Venezia.
“When I signed Bruno, I had looked at his agreement, and realized that he was not officially signed with Venice because he signed a preliminary contract and not an official contract. It stated that there was a buyout to be paid if the preliminary agreement was not fulfilled.
We knew from the beginning that we could leave at any point. The owner made a big mistake because the contract they made was very poorly written.
And It is my understanding that he wanted to protect himself because he is going into election.
We tried every measure to try and pay the buyout a long time ago but they just wanted to ruin my name and the players name, thinking that the pressure would get to us.
They even sent people to threaten to kill me on my social media platforms.
When he joined the nba tour they reached out to all parties including the nba to try and stop him for being able to play. Everybody knew they couldn’t do that and that’s why he joined them.
They never wanted the player, they didn’t want the buyout, they just wanted to hurt him. And FIBA ruled in our favor and now he is with Partizan”.
