Buddy Hield goes off in Game 7, leads Warriors past Rockets

With 33 points and 9 threes, Buddy Hield delivers a record-breaking performance to help Golden State eliminate Houston

Buddy Hield exploded for 33 points on 9-of-11 shooting from three, setting an NBA Game 7 record and carrying the Golden State Warriors to a 103-89 win over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference first-round finale.

Golden State survived a gritty seven-game battle, and now heads to Minnesota for Game 1 of the semifinals Tuesday night. Coach Steve Kerr praised Hield’s effort on both ends: “This was a two-way performance.”

Hield scored 22 in the first half, with Curry adding 14 in the fourth to seal the deal. “Just tried to seize the moment,” Hield said postgame. “Tonight was fun.”
