Bozidar Maljkovic: FIBA slept the past 20 years, they deserve the bad times

Maljkovic spoke with Bertomeu asking why there are no teams from Balkan region

Basketball legend Bozidar Maljkovic spoke with Radio Marca about the basketball situation with the “fracture” between EuroLeague and FIBA.

“I am sorry but it if FIBA’s fault. They have been asleep for 20 years and now they paid the bill with what is happening with EuroLeague. They deserve all these bad times, but it is not good for basketball. It seems that only the rich teams can play basketball. I spoke with Jordi Bertomey and asked how it is possible that between Milan and Athens there is no EuroLeague team? You have to respect the history and traditions. A lot of basketball stars comes from Balkan Arena” Maljkovic said.
