Boston Celtics, Kristaps Porzingis out for Game 3

Kristaps Porzingis can't make it: his injury is "serious" and he's out for Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.

The Boston Celtics have announced that Kristaps Porzingis is out for Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The big Latvian returned from injury for Game 1 of this Finals series, but suffered a “rare” injury in the third quarter of Game 2, a problem with a particular connective tissue that anchors the posterior tibial tendon. Still, the long Latvian has been a major factor in Mazzulla’s team’s first two wins.
