The thrilling series between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos heads to a fourth match tonight, with the Yellow Jackets leading 2-1 and just one ‘W’ away from the Final Four.
According to Israeli website Sport5, Panathinaikos management requested dozens of tickets from Maccabi Tel Aviv on the eve of the match for their fans to attend the game in Belgrade.
According to the Israeli portal, the Israeli club responded by offering only 25 tickets, the same number that the PAO had allocated to Maccabi for games 1 and 2.
Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos took to social media to complain about Maccabi being given the opportunity to have fans at Pionir Arena for “home games”, which he said was against the original Euroleague decision.
