BBL, Day 4 | Alba Berlin, Ludwigsburg stay undefeated

MHP prevails in a thriller, Berlin gives Bamberg loss in Brose’s opener.

In easyCredit BBL day 4 in Munich, Alba Berlin and MHP Ludwigsburg remained undefeated by prevailing, respectively, over Brose Bamberg and Skyliners Frankfurt.

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg – Skyliners Frankfurt 80-77

Munich’s afternoon saw a thriller between MHP and Skyliners, with the former prevailing thanks to Marcos Knight 2-pointer with 20 seconds to play. No team led by more than 6 points in the entire match, an outstanding 74% from 2 was not enough for Frankfurt who saw its second loss in the tournament. Knight led both teams in scoring with 25 points, shooting 5/6 from the arc, while Robertson had 17 points and 7 rebounds for Frankfurt.

ALBA Berlin – Brose Bamberg 98-91

Bamberg first game in the final tournament ends in a loss to a strong Alba side, who saw six players in double figures with two adding 9 points each. After 30’ hard fought minutes, Aito side turned the game in the final quarter, setting a 18-6 run to clinch the win. Alba had 15 points from Nnoko and 14 from Ogbe; Jordan Crawford’s 20 points were not enough for Bamberg.
