Bayern Munich and Kevin Yebo part ways: he will return to Chemnitz

Bayern Munich has announced the parting of ways with Kevin Yebo, who will return to his former team Chemnitz.

After half a year in Munich, Kevin Yebo is no longer part of Bayern Basketball’s roster. The forward’s contract, which was originally valid until 2027, was mutually terminated at the beginning of the week. Yebo, who will celebrate his 29th birthday next week, is returning to his former club Chemnitz.

“Kevin has decided to leave the team for personal reasons. We hope his new start in Chemnitz will be successful,” said FCBB sporting director Dragan Tarlac.

Yebo played 13 BBL games for Bayern, averaging 3.2 points per game, with his best performance being a 13-point effort in an away win in Rostock in mid-December. In the EuroLeague, he was nominated 15 times, averaging 2.3 points per game, and was last included in the squad for the home game against Frankfurt a month ago. He is expected to make his BBL comeback for Chemnitz this Saturday evening.

FC Bayern Basketball wishes Kevin and his family all the best for the future.
