Bayern Munich has secured a long-awaited signing: national team point guard Justus Hollatz, 23, moves from Anadolu Efes to the German champions. The player signed a contract until 2028.
Although Hollatz cannot play in the EuroLeague this season due to transfer rules, he participated in his first training session at BMW Park today.
“We are all very happy that we managed to bring Justus,” said FC Bayern Basketball sporting director Dragan Tarlac. “We see him as another key building block for the long-term development of our team, which aims to have the best German national players outside the NBA.” Tarlac added, “Justus is a perfect addition to our guard rotation and has good physical size for his position. He is the prototype of the modern point guard. He already knows the coach and several teammates from the national team, and because of our excellent team chemistry, he will adapt quickly. For this year Justus will have a chance to gain significant space in the BBL and showcase his great talent.”
