The Bahamas made their debut at the Valencia Pre-Olympic with a big win, beating Finland 85-96 in a game that was controlled throughout the first half. They showed all their important offensive potential, scoring 96 points and finding many different protagonists: not only Buddy Hield and Deandre Ayton, but also the excellent Eric Gordon and Edgecome Jr.
Finland did not have enough with 20 apiece from Jantunen and Maxhuni, in addition to Valtunen’s 13.
The Bahamas got 24 points from Buddy Hield, 20 from Valdez Edgecombe Jr. and 19 with 9 rebounds from Ayton.
