USA wins a friendly against Australia, showing continuity after a win against Canada. Coach Steve Kerr’s team continues its preparation for Paris 2024 in top form, knocking out another of the great national teams that will participate in the Olympic Games in France.
The U.S. controlled the game for much of the way and immediately ran away with the score thanks to many three-point shots made from the first bars, but Australia never gave up and even attempted a comeback in the final. Despite outscoring the Australians 22-31 in the fourth period, the final score was 98-92 in favor of Anthony Davis and Co.
Team USA got 17 points and 14 rebounds from Anthony Davis, 16 from Booker and 14 from Anthony Edwards.
Australia got 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists from Landale, 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists from Giddey and 14 points from Daniels.
