Ataman: “I say that now: Efes and Milano will play the EuroLeague Final. And it’ll be a great final

Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Efes head coach Ergin Ataman said that the next EuroLeague final will be between his Efes and Olimpia Milano.

“Last year my mantra was the countdown, that is the number of wins that separated us from the second title. This time I will walk around courts with three fingers in evidence. I will not spend words, it is enough for me to mark a number” Ataman said.

“EuroLeague is very strong, more competitive and tougher. There are three seeds of six teams each with minimum distances between them. For the Final Four there is Efes, Real, Barcelona, Milan, Olympiacos and even Monaco which has significantly raised their budget by taking excellent players. For the playoffs Fenerbahce, Bayern, Maccabi, Panathinaikos, Partizan with the return of Obradovic and with a home factor that can make the difference, and Virtus Bologna. Then the others from which a surprise can come out” the coach added.

“Milano strengthened in all roles even though they lost Chacho. For me Olimpia is our most dangerous competitor. I say it now: Milano and Efes will play the EuroLeague Final. And it will be a great final”.
