As it does every year, the LNB has published the budgets of the various teams in its league for the 2024/2025 season, including that of ASVEL Villeurbanne. Tony Parker’s team has a budget of €16.2 million, of which only €5,584,000 will go to coaches and players. What is surprising, however, is the contract the French club has signed with Theo Maledon. According to BasketEurope, the team’s star player receives a salary of €300,000, which is decidedly ‘low’ for a player who is establishing himself as one of the best in his role in the EuroLeague.
Theo Maledon is currently averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in Europe’s top competition, a figure that places him among the best players of the current season.
