LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne is exploring a coaching change, with Gordon Herbert being their primary candidate to replace TJ Parker, according to BasketNews sources.
Herbert, the current head coach of the German national team, recently led the team to a World Cup win in 2023 and a bronze at the 2022 EuroBasket.
Herbert has coaching experience in France, having led Paris Basket Racing and Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez. ASVEL has had a challenging start in the EuroLeague, losing the first three games with an average deficit of 17.3 points. They hold the 8th position in the French league with four victories in seven games.
