AS Monaco budget revealed: four players earn at least one million

The BasketEurope website continues its analysis of the budgets of French teams: after ASVEL Villeurbanne, it is now AS Monaco’s turn. According to the French site, the Monaco club has a budget of $29,375,000, of which $14,747,000 is earmarked for the team. This is an increase of around 7% on last season’s figure, while there are four players earning at least a million dollars a year: Mike James, who signed a three-year deal worth $9 million, Nick Calathes, who will earn $1.5 million, Donatas Motiejunas, who will earn $1.1 million, and Jordan Loyd, who will earn $1 million. Last but not least, there is the big deal of Strazel, who will earn €350,000 until the end of the season and is averaging 8.2 points and 1.8 assists this EuroLeague season.
