AS Monaco Basket has officially appealed the sanction imposed by the LNB on August 29, 2024. The club, confident that it has not violated any regulations, is determined to defend its position and will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities throughout the process.
Monaco was fined €20,000 and penalized with one loss in the standings due to irregularities in salary payments, particularly regarding Mike James’ contract. The contract reportedly involved image rights payments through FedCom Media, which were not disclosed to the league.
According to BeBasket, Monaco could see the penalty reduced, similar to Asvel Villeurbanne’s case in 2023.
