Anton Gavel signs a three-year contract with Bamberg. The agreement will start next season.

Born in 1984 in Kosice, Slovakia, but with German citizenship, Gavel played for five seasons at Bamberg before moving to Bayern Munich and ending his career in 2018.

Since 2022 he has been at the helm of Ulm, with whom he won the German title on his debut. He is currently seventh in the league table, while Bamberg is tenth with an 11-4 record.
