Anthony Edwards was ruled out of Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game due to a groin injury, with the announcement coming only after he missed Team Kenny’s opening loss (41-32).
The Minnesota Timberwolves guard, named an All-Star for the third straight year, had hoped to participate but decided to prioritize his recovery for the team’s return to action Friday vs. Houston.
Edwards is having a career-best season, averaging 27.5 points per game. His absence followed that of LeBron James, who also sat out the event due to injury.
