Anthony Edwards scored 19 points in Game 5, but his body language told a different story. He looked tired, slow, and struggled to impact the game against the Thunder’s tenacious defense — much like in last year’s playoff exit.
Despite his talent and youth, Edwards once again hit a physical wall at the worst moment. At 23, he has time to grow. But if he wants to win a title, he’ll need to develop the endurance to shine through June.
“It’s exciting for me, I’m 23. … I’m hurt more so … for Mike [Conley].”
Ant on if it hurt to come up short of the Finals two years in a row. pic.twitter.com/nHaqfRnPEQ
