Andrei Vatutin: Euroleague may cease to exist if this season won't be completed

Vatutin: it is intended to start and end the season at any cost

CSKA Moscow president Andrei Vatutin said that EuroLeague is doing its best to start and complete the 2020-2021 season.

The number 1 of the Russian powerhouse added that the competition may cease to exist if the upcoming season won’t be completed as it happened with last season.

“Euroleague is making every effort to make the season start and happen” Vatutin said, as reported by Sportacentrs. “It is almost certain that there will be many factors outside of basketball: rescheduling and cancellation of games, positive virus tests and technical losses. Crisis and medical regulations have been developed, all clubs are in close contact with the organizers. ”
“If for some reason the season is not completed, we risk to lose the entire tournament. Therefore, it is intended to start and end the season at any cost, ”continued the President of CSKA. “We are preparing for the worst, we are hoping for the best.”
