Sadness and emotion struck the basketball world over the untimely death of Garly Sojo, a talented Venezuelan player, who passed away at only 24 years of age. The Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) confirmed the tragic news, paying tribute to Sojo.
Sojo was known for his outstanding performances on the court, having contributed to his national team’s successes. He participated in the World Cup in the Philippines and won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023. His technical skills and team spirit were well recognised, as demonstrated by his participation in the 2021 Olympic qualifiers and the 2023 World Cup.
At the moment, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
