Real Madrid has reportedly entered the race to sign Vasilije Micic, according to Meridian Sport. The 31-year-old Serbian guard is considering a return to Europe after two underwhelming years in the NBA with the Thunder, Hornets, and Suns, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.9 assists per game.
Micic was in Abu Dhabi for the All-25 EuroLeague Team ceremony, underscoring his legacy in the league. In Europe, he previously played for Mega, Bayern, Crvena Zvezda, Tofas, Zalgiris, and most notably Anadolu Efes, where he won back-to-back EuroLeague titles and earned EuroLeague MVP (2021) and Final Four MVP honors (2021, 2022).
Real Madrid, always looking to strengthen its backcourt, views Micic as a potential game-changing addition. However, they’re not alone: Olympiacos and Hapoel Tel Aviv are also reportedly in the mix.
