The towering center from Chad, Christ Koumadje, 27, will continue to sport the ALBA BERLIN jersey. Having joined the team halfway through the 2020/21 season, Koumadje has signed a new contract that will extend his tenure until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Standing at an impressive 2.21 meters, Koumadje has consistently improved his game during his time in Berlin. His mobility, impressive for his stature, has allowed him to significantly expand his offensive and defensive action radius. This growth has cemented him as a vital component in the Albatrosses’ Big-Man rotation.
Koumadje’s statistics for the most recent season, 2022/23, demonstrate his critical contribution to ALBA BERLIN. In the BBL and Pokal leagues, he averaged 6.4 points per game (PPG), 4 rebounds per game (RPG), and 0.7 blocks per game (BPG) over 31 games with an average of 11.8 minutes per game (MPG). In the EuroLeague, he maintained consistency with 6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 1 BPG in 31 games, averaging 13.3 MPG. His shooting accuracy was also commendable, scoring field goal percentages of 71.7% and 70.7% in BBL and Pokal leagues and EuroLeague, respectively.
