German champions ALBA Berlin has announced the departure of legendary coach Aito Garcia Reneses, who is taking a sabbatical at 74, and the appointment of former associate head coach Israel Gonzalez as full time head coach.
Gonzalez joined Berlin as Aito assistant in 2017 and contributed in leading the team to two German League title, one BBL Cup and a Eurocup final
