Adam Schefter, ESPN’s top NFL insider, is being considered as a candidate to replace Adrian Wojnarowski as the network’s senior NBA insider, Front Office Sports reports. Under this plan, Schefter would cover both the NFL and NBA, earning the title of “Ultimate Insider.”
While the idea is still in early stages, there is mutual interest. Schefter, who earns $9 million annually, would face a significant new challenge. ESPN is also exploring other options, including free-agent Shams Charania, to fill Wojnarowski’s role.
