From France a news about Nikola Mirotic, that certainly won’t please Olimpia Milano fans.
According to reporter Theo Quintard, the forward has already signed a deal with AS Monaco.
Mirotic still has one year left on his contract with Olimpia, but with an opt-out clause in his favor at the end of this season.
Despite being 34 years old, the forward remains one of the best at his position in Europe, as confirmed by his third-place in the EuroLeague player index rating (PIR) ranking with 22 per game — behind only Sasha Vezenkov and TJ Shorts.
Mirotic helped Milano win two championships and an Italian Supercup in his first two years in Italy, and he will try to win another in the upcoming LBA Playoffs.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Euroleague star Nikola Mirotic has signed with AS Monaco. He averaged 17.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2 assists on the European stage.
