Luca Banchi has signed his contract with Olimpia Milano at dawn, as reported by RealOlimpiaMilano, bringing a swift negotiation to a close. A preliminary agreement had already been reached on Friday, the day Peppe Poeta was dismissed, while the final details regarding Banchi’s commitments with the Italian Basketball Federation were settled yesterday. The contract was officially signed in the early hours of today.
Banchi will lead his first practice tomorrow, returning to the Olimpia bench and beginning the club’s third coaching tenure within a year, following Ettore Messina’s resignation on November 24, 2025, and the subsequent appointment of Poeta, who was later dismissed.
