Bam Adebayo does not believe he should carry all the blame for the Miami Heat’s winless start to the season. “It’s funny how the outside noise wants to make me the scapegoat,” Adebayo said after the loss to Dallas. “When the energy shifts, just be prepared for that.”
The Heat captain is averaging 11.8 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 40% from the field and 16.7% from three. Giannis Antetokounmpo defended his teammate: “It’s not just Bam, it’s everybody. We’re trying to figure out where we fit.”
Davion Mitchell added that Adebayo needs to be more aggressive while acknowledging that he and Giannis often operate in similar areas of the floor and need time to adjust.
