Jalen Williams was taken off the floor on a stretcher during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s win over the LA Clippers after suffering a significant lower left leg injury. There is no official diagnosis yet, with further evaluation expected.
Williams was injured with 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter after landing awkwardly following contact on a drive. His left leg collapsed underneath him and his foot bent outward at an unnatural angle.
The game was stopped for around five minutes. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was visibly shaken and became emotional afterward: “I just feel bad for him. It’s obviously going to be tough without a player like that, but he’ll be back better than ever.”
