NBA referees confirm LaMelo Ball traveled: “He takes four steps”

There was little doubt, but the NBA referees have now officially confirmed it. LaMelo Ball’s viral three-pointer against Miami should have been ruled a traveling violation.

The NBRA explained that Ball gathered with his right foot down and was allowed two steps, left-right. Instead, he took four: “For everyone asking, ‘how is this legal?’ It’s not!”

Lonzo Ball had already called out his brother on social media. LaMelo still joked about it afterward: “Even if I’m wrong, I’m right. That’s how it goes.”
