Anadolu Efes’ victory was accompanied by a negative note, as PJ Dozier suffered an injury and was unable to continue playing after taking a blow to the back. Following the game, coach Pablo Laso explained how the incident occurred, while postponing a more accurate assessment of the player’s condition until the coming days.
“I think he got hit on a back screen and I think he got hit back. Sometimes when you’re ready for a hit, you prepare your body. I think he didn’t expect it, so they got him from behind and he didn’t see it. He was hit in the back,” the coach said.
“So let’s see a little bit more tomorrow. Right now, for sure, he could not continue playing, but we’ll probably go back to Istanbul and check his situation and how he’ll be over the next few days. I hope it’s nothing serious.”
