Galbiati’s agent: “Paolo did nothing wrong.” On Howard: “Zenit will cover most of his salary”

David Carro, the agent of Paolo Galbiati and Markus Howard, spoke after both parted ways with Baskonia on Kiroleros. On the Italian coach: “We’re not going to look for reasons, because there are none.” He also confirmed Howard’s summer talks with Barcelona.

“Paolo did nothing wrong,” Carro told Kiroleros. The agent described Galbiati’s current state: “He’s going through an emotional earthquake, he suffers for the fans.” He also revealed: “When he said he was a survivor, there was a reason. They were looking for a replacement. They had already contacted Perasovic last year. Paolo told the truth, then he survived and won the Copa del Rey.”

Carro also addressed Howard’s departure, confirming that Barcelona held talks over the summer before no agreement was reached. “Markus made an effort, and I take my hat off to the club for how they handled his exit.” According to the agent, Baskonia will free up a large part of Howard’s salary, which will be covered by Zenit.
