LeBron James scores 10 points with 5 assists in Sixers debut

LeBron James made his Philadelphia debut in the Sixers’ 114-108 preseason loss to Brooklyn. The 41-year-old finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 18 minutes, all in the first half.

“It felt a little different,” James said afterward. “Obviously, just wearing a new uniform, but the game is the game.” He made his only field-goal attempt and went 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, while Philadelphia outscored Brooklyn by 10 during his minutes.

Nick Nurse praised James’ playmaking: “He’s a great, great passer. He really read the game well.” Jaylen Brown added 18 points and Tyrese Maxey had 14, while Joel Embiid finished with 6 points and 8 turnovers.
