Tyrese Haliburton returned to action after more than 16 months in the Pacers’ 123-112 win over the Timberwolves. Indiana’s star finished with 7 points, 6 assists, one steal and 2 blocks in 16 minutes.
“It’s the first game, but it’s got to slow down,” Haliburton said afterward. “There was just a lot of adrenaline. I was hyped to be out there, excited, but I just got to slow down a little bit.” He said he felt almost like a rookie, while still being able to read the floor at his usual speed.
It was Haliburton’s first NBA game in more than 400 days after tearing his right Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. His return came at Iowa State, where he played in college: “Just excited to be back on the floor.”
