Istanbul Bahcesehir officially signs Luka Mitrović

The Turkish club announces the arrival of the Serbian big man, who played for CSKA Moscow last season, for the 2026-27 campaign.

Bahcesehir Koleji has announced the signing of Luka Mitrović, who played for CSKA Moscow last season.

Born on March 21, 1993, in Novi Sad, Mitrović began his professional basketball career with Serbian club Hemofarm. In 2012, he joined Crvena Zvezda, attracting attention with his performances in the Adriatic League and EuroLeague. He became team captain in the 2014-15 season, averaging 8.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 24 EuroLeague games, while also being named Serbian Cup MVP. That same season, he helped the team win the Serbian League, Adriatic League and Serbian Cup, completing a treble.

The 206cm power forward won three Serbian League titles, three Adriatic League championships and four Serbian Cups during his five-year spell with Crvena Zvezda.

After leaving Crvena Zvezda in 2017, he joined Brose Bamberg. He spent the 2019-20 season in Spain with UCAM Murcia and Manresa, before winning the Montenegrin League and Cup with Budućnost in 2020-21.

In the summer of 2021, Mitrović returned to Crvena Zvezda, where he had previously enjoyed a highly successful career. Over his next four seasons with the club, he added two more Serbian League titles, two Adriatic League championships and four Serbian Cups.

In the 2025-26 season, Mitrović played 40 games in the VTB League with CSKA Moscow, averaging 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.

A Serbian national team player since the youth levels, the 33-year-old big man will bring his experience and effectiveness in the paint to Bahcesehir Koleji during the 2026-27 season.
