Andrea Trinchieri reacted to PAOK’s 93-78 win over Manresa in its EuroCup opener. The Italian coach admitted the performance was far from perfect, but stressed the value of winning even when not playing well.
“We played very badly, but we won because we have certain values,” Trinchieri said after the 93-78 victory over Manresa. He pointed to Gray and Tyree as key contributors, especially for the energy and impact they provided in the second half.
The PAOK coach added: “If you brought me a paper saying we would win every game like this, I would sign it with my blood. But I know that won’t happen, so we have to be prepared.”
Trinchieri did not want to elaborate on Donatas Motiejunas: “I prefer to stay focused on the game and on what I have to do. There are other people who can answer that.”
