Ben Simmons: “I’m back, I want to dominate” with the Sacramento Kings”

Ben Simmons is ready to return to the NBA with the Sacramento Kings after spending the entire 2025-26 season away from basketball. Speaking during Kings Media Day, the former All-Star said he finally feels fully healthy and ready to compete again.

“I’m right where I need to be. I took a lot of time to focus on my body over the season. I think it was the best thing I’ve done and the best decision I’ve made for my career. I feel great and I’m ready to go. No limitations.”

Simmons also strongly rejected criticism over his passion for basketball: “I love this game. It’s my art. It’s in my blood.”

The 30-year-old believes he has rediscovered his old self: “Yeah, I’m there. He’s there. He woke up.”

Asked what he wants to bring to Sacramento this season, Simmons had a simple answer: “To dominate. Every time I step on the floor, to dominate.”
