Liga Endesa makes record-breaking start with 94.8 points per team

The opening round of the 2026-27 season was the highest-scoring ever and the fourth most productive round of the ACB era

The Liga Endesa season opened with 1,706 points across nine games, an average of 94.8 per team. It was the competition’s highest-scoring round in 39 years.

According to data published by the ACB, seven teams reached 100 points, a record under the current 18-team format. Barcelona-Coruna (119-101), Breogan-Joventut (110-104) and Valencia-Lleida (100-105) all featured both teams reaching triple digits.

It marked the first time in the ACB era that three games in the same round saw both sides score at least 100 points. The figures extend a clear offensive trend, with the league average rising from 81.5 points in 2022-23 to 88.2 last season.
