Zalgiris opened its EuroLeague season with an 83-77 road win over Crvena Zvezda but lost Nigel Williams-Goss to a right hamstring problem late in the game.
“I felt my hamstring a little before the game, but it seemed good enough to try to play. On the final effort, I felt a small discomfort again. We’ll see what the diagnosis is when we return,” Williams-Goss said, as reported by SPORT24.
Tomas Masiulis expressed concern: “It looks worrying, but I don’t know anything yet. The doctors will run tests and give us a clearer picture. It doesn’t look very good.” Williams-Goss is doubtful for the September 29 game against Olympiacos.
