Kendrick Perkins ranks Jalen Brunson ahead of Luka Doncic

The ESPN analyst believes the NBA champion Knicks leader deserves a place among the league’s five best players

Kendrick Perkins disagrees with ESPN’s ranking of Luka Doncic fourth and Jalen Brunson sixth among the NBA’s best players entering the new season.

“There’s no way we can put Luka Doncic ahead of Jalen Brunson after what he displayed last postseason,” Perkins said on NBA Today. Brunson led New York to its first championship since 1973 and a 16-3 playoff record.

Perkins also called Brunson the Eastern Conference’s most consistent player over the past three seasons, emphasizing his reliability. “I don’t know how we start this season without Jalen Brunson being in the top five.”
