The Los Angeles Lakers generated approximately $680 million in revenue and $129 million in profit last season, according to figures cited by Brian Windhorst on The Hoop Collective. The franchise also generates around $245 million from tickets and game-day revenue.
The Lakers’ biggest financial advantage could be their local television agreement with Spectrum SportsNet. Windhorst explained that every NBA team is expected to receive roughly $176 million from national media rights and other shared league revenue, while Los Angeles is projected to receive an additional $180 million annually from its local TV deal, which runs through 2032.
