The American point guard extends his contract with the Lithuanian club after Panathinaikos showed interest in him during the offseason.

Zalgiris Kaunas have confirmed that Nigel Williams-Goss has signed a new contract through the end of the 2027-28 season, with an option for another year. The agreement was confirmed during the club’s official press conference ahead of the 2026-27 EuroLeague season.

Sporting director Gediminas Navickas explained that the contract had already been modified: “We did make changes to the contract, and that has already happened. I can’t say there were major changes, which is why we didn’t make a big announcement about it. The discussions took place, and the agreement has been formalized.”

According to Navickas, negotiations had started before Panathinaikos showed interest in the 32-year-old point guard.
