Edy Tavares was named the first MVP in the history of the EuroLeague Super Cup. After the game, the center spoke to Realmadrid TV and expressed his satisfaction at winning another title with Real Madrid:
“I’m very happy. Being Real Madrid, we are always making history with all the trophies that exist. This is a source of pride for us. It’s the first one and it will always be remembered as the first of them all, won by Real Madrid. I’m very happy and we have to keep working.”

Tavares was named MVP of the tournament after making a decisive contribution in both games. In the semifinal against Dubai Basketball, he scored 20 points and recorded a 22 valuation. In the title game, he contributed 6 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal.
