DeMar DeRozan continues to consider Toronto his home despite leaving the Raptors in 2018. The veteran discussed his relationship with the city during the Off The Roster podcast.
“This will always be home for me,” DeRozan said. “This was the foundation of me as a basketball player, as a human being. This was my first home and my first everything. Nothing will ever replace that.”
Selected by Toronto with the No. 9 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, DeRozan spent nine seasons with the Raptors and became a four-time All-Star. After stints with the Spurs, Bulls and Kings, he signed a one-year, $3.9 million contract with the Denver Nuggets.
