Cavaliers Promote José Calderón to Assistant General Manager

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced several changes to their front office yesterday, including the promotion of José Calderón to Assistant General Manager.

The former Spanish point guard joined the franchise in 2022 as a Special Advisor. More recently, he played a key role in helping the front office achieve its goals both on and off the court through a number of initiatives, including the Cavaliers’ 2026 Training Camp at The Embassy in Andalusia.

After retiring from professional basketball, Calderón previously served as Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the NBPA.
