Jean Montero had to travel separately to Abu Dhabi after encountering a visa issue and missed Olympiacos’ latest practice. According to SDNA, the Dominican guard is expected to join the team in the coming hours and be available for the opening game of the EuroLeague Basketball SuperCup against Fenerbahce.
The 23-year-old joined Olympiacos this summer on a three-year deal after two seasons with Valencia. Last season, Montero averaged 14.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game in the EuroLeague, earning All-EuroLeague First Team, Rising Star and Playoffs MVP honors.
