The Italian coach returns to the NBA as a consultant, while Jason Love and Sergi Oliva also join the organization

The Atlanta Hawks have officially announced three additions to Quin Snyder’s staff. Ettore Messina will serve as a coaching consultant, Jason Love as an assistant coach and Sergi Oliva as a basketball strategy and development advisor.

Messina reunites with Snyder, who previously worked as his assistant at CSKA Moscow. The four-time EuroLeague champion returns to the NBA after serving as a Los Angeles Lakers consultant and a San Antonio Spurs assistant from 2014 to 2019.

Love joins Atlanta after two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and five years in Philadelphia. Oliva previously worked under Snyder with the Utah Jazz and spent the past four seasons as Portland’s assistant general manager, also coaching the G League’s Rip City Remix.
