Joe Mazzulla does not plan to impose an immediate identity on the revamped Boston Celtics. Speaking at Paul George and Mike Conley’s introductory press conference, he said the challenges of the season will help define the group.
Boston is moving forward after its first-round loss to Philadelphia and a major roster overhaul. Several returning players have experienced both winning and losing with the Celtics, Mitchell Robinson arrives after winning a title with New York, while George and Conley are still seeking their first championship.
Mazzulla wants to leverage those different perspectives: “Wins will do that, losses will do that, practices will do that, travel will do that.” He also views last season’s playoff disappointment as another lesson that can shape Boston’s new chapter.
