Panathinaikos staff hit by six gastroenteritis cases, some hospitalized

Concern is growing within the Greek club following its return from the Rhodes tournament, with further cases feared

Six Panathinaikos staff members have contracted gastroenteritis following the team’s return from the tournament in Rhodes, according to SPORT24.

Some of those affected required hospitalization. Panathinaikos and AEK, which are also dealing with several cases, stayed at the same hotel during the tournament.

The club fears further cases could emerge in the coming hours. Panathinaikos will host Paris Basketball in its EuroLeague opener on September 24, before the Greek Super Cup on September 26 and 27.
