The Detroit Pistons have offered Jalen Duren a five-year, $185 million contract extension, matching the deal Alperen Sengun received. The proposal would pay Duren an average of $37 million per year through 2031, but his camp reportedly believes the young center is worth considerably more.
According to the report, Duren’s representatives are therefore not satisfied with the current offer and would like Detroit to raise its proposal. The two sides will now have to continue negotiations as they look to reach an agreement on Duren’s long-term future with the Pistons.
